So let’s put this in business terms. The placeholder is CEO of the country. As CEO, he is responsible for everything that happens in this country. It is up to him to make sure he has a team in place that will report to him what is going on so that he can make sure that the country responds to it quickly and effectively. So, somewhere he has dropped the ball or is refusing to take responsibility as CEO of what is going on in this country. Remember that a CEO has to review financial reports in order to know the best economic direction for his company. Isn’t the same true for the placeholder? If he is trying to bring economic recovery to this country, shouldn’t he know where every dollar is going? He was elected to do so. If he was a CEO and responded this way, I am sure that the Board of Directors would be asking for his resignation. Unfortunately, we don’t have that option and it is evident he thinks that this response is acceptable? Do you think it is an acceptable response from the president that has been elected to protect you, your family and this country? Is this someone you want to be responsible for handling your hard earned money????
From ABC News, via Michelle Malkin (bolded lines are mine because that is what I am referencing above)
STEPHANOPOULOS: But have your — have some of your allies made it easier for — handed your opponents some ammunition, like ACORN, for example…
OBAMA: Well, look, the — you know, I think that — are there folks in the Democratic camp or on the left who haven’t — haven’t always operated in ways that I’d appreciate? Absolutely.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Congress said they should cut off all funding for ACORN.
OBAMA: Is — is — is…
STEPHANOPOULOS: … all funding for ACORN. Are you for that?
OBAMA: Is that true on the other side, as well? Of course that’s true.
STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?
OBAMA: You know, it’s — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Both the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.
OBAMA: You know, what I know is, is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So you’re not committing to — to cut off the federal funding?
OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to.
