Question for Harry Reid

Gotta love this headline
Harry Reid: Health care bill won’t work for Nevada

I gotta ask you, Harry are you going to stand for your constituents or are you going to stand with your party? If this won’t help your state how can you support it? You were elected to represent Nevada, not the entire country. You have to do what is best for your state in the long run. Got it? Good.

No sooner than the Senate Finance Committee’s chairman released his long-awaited health care bill today than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said it’s not good enough for Nevada.

Reid is concerned about the cash-poor state’s inability to boost Medicaid spending as would be required under the bill.

“While this draft bill is a good starting point, it needs improvement before it will work for Nevada,” Reid said in a statement. “During this time of economic crisis, our state cannot afford to shoulder the second highest increase in Medicaid funding.”

  1. Liberty says:

I think Nevada is getting a little too hot for Reid:-) His polls are not running very well for him. I haven’t had time to read the Senate Finance bill yet, but now maybe Reid understands a little better why some States didn’t want to take the Simulus money. The strings tied to that affected them in the mandatory increase in the Unemployment benefits. What goes around comes around Harry LOL But he is really not concerned about Nevada, he’s concerned about his poll numbers and thinks if he says what they want to hear, it will help. I think they have his number. Ha-Ha
