Well, I hope all that voted a Chicago politician into the White House is enjoying watching Chicago politics affecting every aspect of their lives. As I read this article, I was reminded of Stalin and wonder if he learned politics from a Chicago politician.
“Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother.” That’s what President Barack Obama said to Rep. Peter DeFazio in a closed-door meeting of the House Democratic Caucus last week, according to the Associated Press.
Just in case you don’t think that Obama is keeping score, think back to how quickly Obama jumped to help red state Kentucky after the ice storm that left many without electricity and during which many died. How long did it take for him to declare a national emergency for them? Yep, that was the first example of how he would be keeping score during his term in office. Also, if you look at how much blue states are getting from the spendilus bill compared to the red states, you will see a big difference.
This bugs me the most because Congress, no matter what party, are elected BY the people to SERVE the people. They are not there there to serve the President. In fact, our founding fathers created the system so that Congress and the President would have a checks and balance system so that one person or one group could not force through their own interests. I guess it takes people who don’t give a damn about this country or the people to decide that they will do whatever it takes to ram through what will benefit them alone.
