Birds of a feather

This is only part of a post off the top of my head to make the point.  Think about the people who Obama has surrounded himself with and now seem to be someone who was in the neighborhood or just someone who he had a conversation with.  Look at what their beliefs are when it comes to foreign policy, especially in regards to the middle east.  Now, I ask, why as a state senator did he take a stand against the Iraq War?  In some eyes, it has become an unpopular war.  But, at the time it began, it was soon after 9-11 and others believed that it was necessary for various reasons.  In 20/20 hindsight, there are now many who see the reasons to go to war were not the right ones.  20/20 hindsight is great, but it is like the Monday morning quarterback who can spend a long time at the water cooler saying how he could have played the game better.  You got to go with what you have and hope you make the right choice at the time.  But, think about it you surround yourself with people who are similar to you and have the same belief system.  Don’t you think the same is true of Obama?

So, here is the list that I found with a quick look over websites on a search of Obama friends.

  • Rashid Khalidi
  • Bill Ayers
  • Edward Said
  • Jeremiah Wright
  • Bernadine Dohrn
  • Tony Rezko
  • Khalid al Mansour
  • Samantha Power
  • Father Michael Pfleger
  • Emil Jones

As I looked over the list, I tried to find a name associated with Obama that does not seem to be connected to have radical beliefs, and I could find none. We are judged by the company we keep, my question is why is Obama not being judged by the company he keeps?
